GlobalSubDive’s Modular Solution For Submarine Operations
GlobalSubDive carries out a number of different assignments that ranges from their own exploration and conservation oriented missions of Project Baseline, which are made in collaboration with Global Underwater Explorers and Project Baseline, to chartered jobs by private groups, corporations, universities, film makers, researchers and scientists and more.
The assignments vary greatly in needs and in use of the exploration grade vessel, Baseline Explorer, that GlobalSubDive uses.
To make the operations incredibly smooth and efficient and to ensure a high degree of flexibility as well as offering a phenomenal response time, GlobalSubDive incorporates a modular solution for handling the equipment and the making the most of the deck space.
Baseline Explorer, GlobalSubDive’s 146′ vessel has a superb deck that can easily be reconfigured for optimal use and for what makes best sense for the assignment or task at hand.
Configuring and planning the deck configuration starts at the drawing table once an overview of the required equipment that needs to accompany the trip is in place.
Here’s an example of such a configuration drawing:
GlobalSubDive’s own equipment is all configured into modules that can easily and efficiently be added or deleted into the mix to fit what each individual task may require.
The modules consist of large containers, one holds all special and relevant equipment pertaining GlobalSubDive’s own two submarines. Another large container holds the SCUBA equipment, including tanks, scooters and more that is used when dive teams are deployed.
Additionally, NitroxMakers, special breathing gasses holds, extra compressors, decompression chambers and more are all arranged in such a fashion that they can easily be added (hoisted onto the deck) or omitted from a mission.
Of course, no mission without tenders, and sometimes events or assignments may even include visiting tenders, other submarines in addition to GlobalSubDive’s own two submarines and even office modules.
The modular solution makes it all very flexible and mobile. When units are not utilized for assignments, they can be stored back on land in GlobalSubDive’s warehouse (as depicted in the top image). This mobility also provides for very easy service and repairs to be carried out on land, perhaps even while the exploration vessel is away on other assignments.
It’s an incredible solution that provides for very efficient use of time and resources and makes GlobalSubDive one phenomenal submarine and other oceanic endeavor solution provider.
